YOGA CAMP

Rejuvenating lungs, kidneys, heart, intestines, skin and joints through appropriate yoga kriyas, simple age old trouble free techniques and homely food management.

You will know about the secrets of heart, pancreas, lungs, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, knee, backbone, skin. Treatment to strengthen eye vision is also taught in the camp.

Apart from the above, Bhajan, Sathsang, how to walk, sit, sleep, eat, drink water and brush teeth is taught in the camp. There are many more interesting things to learn from the health camp.

TREKKING

You Can Walk, You Can Do It....

Of the twenty seven districts in the state of Karnataka; Kodagu covers a total area of 4102 Sq. Km. Extending from 75° 38’ E - 76° 14’ E longitude to 11° 56’ N - 12° 50’ N latitude; Kodagu or commonly called Coorg has an annual rainfall close to 3000 mm. Almost the whole of the Kodagu district comes under the Western Ghats, which is one of the 34 environmentally undisturbed eco systems of the world, harbouring a rich biodiversity in its flora & fauna. A typical feature of the sloping Western Ghats are the isolated ever green or shola forests nestled between the folds of the mountain ranges, amidst of these ranges lies the unique ‘The Tamara Coorg’ at an elevation of 3750 ft. surrounded by the Western Ghats ranges.

There are three trekking trails leading towards these ranges viz. as follows

View Point: Approximate duration of this trek is 3.5 Hrs Distance of this trail is 4.5 Km. One can enjoy this trek through the Cardamom Plantations and can observe beautiful birds (around 310 species of birds in Coorg) and their activities, trying to understand them and documenting these observations, constitute bird watching. Approximate duration of this trek is 3.5 Hrs. consisting of two rest breaks of Ten minutes each.

Pathi Pole Falls: Approximate duration of this trek is 4.5 Hrs, Amidst the valley raises the shola forest from where the Pathi Pole Falls emerges, it is a great sight from the boulder resting area. This 5.5 Km of trail takes you through breath taking slopes and valleys with lush greenery. One will have a wonderful sight atop the falls. Duration of this trek is approximately 4.5 Hrs. with three breaks.

Ballyaatre Ridge: Approximate duration of this trek is 5.5 Hrs .This unique trail takes you through the lengthy ride over the ridge line. One can have a great view of the skyline of Coorg and the back drop view of the highest mountain of Coorg called the ThadiandaMol at 1750 meters above sea level. The duration of this trek is around 5.5 Hrs with three rest breaks.

Brahmagiri are the most popular trekking destinations in Coorg.

The Cauvery Resorts is touted to be a haven for ornithologists and bird-lovers alike. Whether you are expert at bird behaviour or just a plain novice who admires the beauty of his feathered friends.The resort is the best place to explore and get in touch with various creatures of flight. The Indian sub-continent accounts for over 2060 species of birds, and the fact is that Coorg or Kodagu contributes as much as 25% of the overall bird population in this regard, which is a matter or joy and pride for the tiny hill-station. The area is considered the best place to spot several species of birds, including some that have Coorg as their origin like Malabar Trogons, Nilgiri Laughing-Thrushes, Great Black Woodpeckers, and Malabar Whistling-Thrushes.Other varieties of birds include Yellow Browed Bulbuls, Pacific Swallows, Grasshopper Warblers, Orphean Warblers and Yellow Billed Babblers. Great Pied Hornbills, Nilgiri Wood Pigeons, Wynaad and Grey-Breasted Laughing Thrushes, Blue-Winged Parakeets, Grey-Headed Bulbuls, White-Bellied Treepies, the Nilgiri and White-Bellied Blue Flycatchers, Black Eagle and Ceylon Frogmouths comprise the rest of the species of birds that hail from the Coorg district.Apart from normal birds, Coorg also has several species of Owls including Short Eared and Oriental Scops Owls which can often be seen after nightfall.Embark on a guided bird watching trail in the property to spot some of these exotic birds.
